Celebrate National TWILIGHT ZONE Day today by checking out our gallery of shots from the classic series that aired from 1959 to 1964. The show, created by Rod Serling, broke a lot of ground for those that followed including classics like ‘Star Trek’ and ‘Kolchak: The Night Stalker.’

Welcome to the Twilight Zone

Creator Rod Serling’s anthology show, ‘The Twilight Zone’, premiered in October of 1959 and ran for four years. In that time, he and his production teams managed to re-define science fiction on the television, making it much more serious and worthy of “prime time.”
