News about Marvel and the MCU …
We’re just days away from meeting Kamala Khan (Ms. Marvel). The new series is expected to drop on Disney+ on Wednesday, June 8, and will feature Iman Vellani as the Muslim-American high school student from Jersey City (and uber-fan of Captain Marvel). That gives you about 48 hours to watch the one, MCU film you “need to watch” (according to Inverse). The Inverse article explains between Ms. Marvel and AVENGERS: ENDGAME.
This article on comicbook.com also explains the connection between Ms. Marvel and the “blip” that occurred in ENDGAME.
Read this article in Variety about the incredible complexity of the Moon Knight costume used in the Disney+ series starring Oscar Isaacs. Wow.
Concerned about the “Disney-fication” of the Marvel heroes and storylines? Don’t worry, Deadpool 3 looks like it’s going to save the day and be “absolutely R-rated.” Hallelujah!
Why is Morbius coming back to theaters? How is that a good idea? Forbes.com has a few thoughts.
Maria Bakalova (BORAT) joins the MCU and will be appearing in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY 3. Variety has the report.
What does the future hold for Luke Cage and the rest of the DEFENDERS in the MCU? We know Charlie Cox is back and that Kingpin has already returned from Netflix exile. There’s a rumor we’ll get more Jessica Jones, but what about Jon Berenthal’s Punisher, Finn Jones’s Iron Fist and Mike Cotler’s Luke Cage? Mike Colter has something to say about that.
That’s it for today.
