At just 19, Imagination Connoisseur Lucas James has already proven himself capable of telling a compelling story through documentary filmmaking. This project, a profile of his recently-passed grandmother, was shot with a cell phone and “unintentionally” caught his grandmother’s beautiful soul. Thanks for sharing, Lucas.
Every story worth telling deserves a chance to be heard.
Hi Robert,
I’m Lucas. I’m 19 years old.
I’ve been interested in filmmaking for a very long time now. I have watched you and John Campea for years.
About four or five years ago, I began recording my grandmother on my cellphone. Although it was just for fun, I realize now that in doing so, I unintentionally immortalized part of her beautiful soul, that passed away last year.
With some of the footage I had of her, I decided to make a documentary. It’s only 5 minutes and I recorded most of it on my cellphone, but I think you will really like it.
It means a lot to me.
– Lucas
